Seller coverage
The latent defect must become apparent within the first three years of the date when the notarized deed was signed.
If such a defect is discovered, the buyer is protected up to $50,000, with the seller’s liability limited to payment of the first $5,000, regardless of the number of claims. This means that the guarantee plan covers a seller's financial risk of up to $50,000.
