Preparing a baby's room is a very exciting time in a parent's life. But when it's your first baby's room, it can also be quite confusing as there are so many different products available on the market (!!!)
For this article, I wanted to share a few tips about organizing and setting up a baby or child's room. Don't be fooled, Celeste's room is way more organized than mine!
Drawers
In her drawers, I take great care to fold her clothes based on category. For example, I placed pyjamas, onesies, sweaters and pants in individual compartments from Ikea. The thing about babies is that they grow up quickly, so staying organized helps you find everything you need when you need it fast.
Toys
Over time, I also modified some spaces in the baby's room. While waiting for the playroom to take shape, we added a piece of furniture from IKEA with baskets for more storage for her toys. We always keep a basket with a few toys in the living room handy, seeing as this is the floor we spend most of our time on. Everything else is stored in this piece. Again, I sort everything by size or category to help make our lives a little simpler.
Books
The most recent corner of her room (and by far my favourite) is her future reading nook!!! After 3 months of putting it off, we FINALLY assembled our shelves from Petit Hurricane Co. to store her books. Not that we were in a hurry because at nine months old, she can't read yet but we've been accumulating more and more books, and I liked the idea transforming a space in her room into a reading corner. So, we set up shelves at her appropriate height to help encourage a love of books. I'm not imagining it: I swear she's already devouring her books with her eyes!
I hope that this short and sweet article can help you better organize your little one’s room!
