- This program applies only to residential buildings with 5 dwellings or less and only in cases where the owner is also an occupant.
- The program is applicable to main or second homes of $2 million in value or less.
- This program is solely for people and does not cover legal entities—for example, developers, contractors or Estates, which act as a buyer or seller within a real estate transaction.
- Newly-built homes are not eligible.
- The protection will take effect as soon as your agent has given you your certificate of protection. This certificate will be issued when all conditions of the offer to purchase have been met, except the signing of the deed of sale.
